he year is 1945, since then almost 80 years have passed since the war was over and fewer and fewer of the men and women who lived during those times are left, they are now memories and legends their images preserved in pictures, books, and film are mostly what they are left to us.  World War 2 helped shaped the world in ways that no one imagined. It redrew the map of the world moving entire countries west, made other countries disappear and even brought some back into existence.  The "WAR" consumed millions of people all across the world separated families, it brought out the worst in humanity but also the best in man. Looking back at that time, today's world seems a lot dangerous with different geopolitical forces & interests align against each other and the slightest difference seem to polarize entire populations and ethnic groups makes the reasons that sparked World War 2 look simple by comparison. Simpler times, I guess.

This page is being made not because there is a lack of web pages on this subject, the actual reason it is being made is because the number of pages available about WW2 tend to drift in to academic analysis about one subject or another and tend to be a little on the long side. This page will mostly deal with "quick" facts, stories, short summaries on the events, personalities, equipment and many of the things that made WW2 such a fascinating subject for the last 70+ years for old and young alike.

This war was truly global there was not a corner in the world it did not touch even the smaller Latin American countries saw some kind of action along their coasts. The small pacific islands saw plenty of action and even to this day we can see the remains of those actions on some of those islands.

The stories of World War II serve as a timeless reminder of the human capacity for both destruction and heroism. They teach us about the sacrifices made, the lessons learned, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. By preserving the memory of those who lived through this monumental conflict, we ensure that their experiences are not lost to time. Even though I myself was born 30 years after the end of the war, it always fascinated me, the vehicles, the gear, the bigger than life personalities like General Patton and Field Marshall Rommel, Leaders like Winston Churchill and Hitler seem to catch people's fancy like they have just jumped out of a novel's page, one born of the mix of British nobility and American Colonial revelry, The other a disenchanted Austrian art school dropout, whose hypnotic message set the world on fire!

This website is dedicated to honoring their legacy, fostering a sense of remembrance, and inspiring future generations to learn from the past to create a better future.  Through this dedication to the memories of those who lived through World War II and the dissemination of valuable information in an accessible format, we hope to inspire a continued interest in this fascinating subject and foster a deeper understanding of the impact of World War II on our world.

It is my Hope that everyone who sees this site enjoys it and comes back to find new content every month. ENJOY.
